His Excellency Dr. Tarzoor Terhemen is the 8th High Commissioner of the Federal Republic of Nigeria to the Republic of Namibia. Amb. Tarzoor Terhemen commenced his tour of duty in May, 2021 and presented his Letters of Credence to H.E. Hage Geingob, President of Namiba on 23rd August, 2021.
Prior to the appointment of the High Commissioner, Dr. Tarzoor Terhemen was elected member of the Benue State House of Assembly in 2007 and became Speaker of the Benue State House of Assembly in 2011. Dr. Tarzoor Terhemen has received several awards in his career, including the Good Performing Legislator’s Award by the Catholic Media Organization, the Award of Humble Man of the People by Tarkuruku Entertainment Limited among several others.
In 2015 Dr. Tarzoor Terhemen contested for the office of Governor of Benue State but lost to the incumbent Governor.
A seasoned economist by profession. Dr. Tarzoor Terhemen is a graduate of Benue State University and holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, a Master’s Degree in Business Administration and a Ph.D. in Economics at the same Benue State University.
